It is with great excitement that the Swedish Royal Court announced on 25 October 2012 that Princess Madeleine is engaged to Christopher O'Neill, and they are to be married in the summer of 2013. Princess Madeleine Thérèse Amelie Josephine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland was born at Drottningholm Palace on 10 June 1982. She is the youngest child and second daughter of King Carl XVI Gustav and Queen Silvia of Sweden.
