Queen Amidala's Royal Wardrobe

I recently made a visit to the Experience Music Project, which is a museum in the city center here in Seattle. There is currently an exhibition running that showcases many costumes from the 6 Star Wars movies, most notably with costumes from The Phantom Menace, with many pieces from Queen Amidala's wardrobe. The theme of fictional royalty is very prevalent in Star Wars, and the costumes are in fact largely inspired by traditional Asian clothing.

Queen Amidala's Galactic Senate Gown was heavily inspired by the traditional costumes of Mongolian Royalty.

In addition to the temporary Star Wars costume exhibition, the EMP also has other movie memorabilia. This is the key from the dark fantasy film, Pan's Labyrinth.

The museum proudly displays Princess Buttercup's Princess Bride wedding costume, worn by actress Robin Wright in the 1987 film, complete with the tiara.

And one of my favorites, the icicle tiara that Tilda Swinton wore as the White Witch, aka Queen Jadis, in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe movie.
